Asset Management
Asset Management is nowadays more than just a searchable database where any kind of asset is registered. It is also about integration, workflow, process modelling and abstract data models to manage the assets’ information as well as possible.
Lots of the Asset Management functionality and processes are deeply integrated with other functions and processes throughout MECOMS® thanks to its architecture. The Asset Management module controls all the assets in the system together with all their information including communication properties for Automatic Meter Reading and Smart Metering.
Asset Management functions, such as registration or scrap conversion, are strongly process oriented. The same applies to service-oriented asset management functions. MECOMS® features several pre-defined and workflow based processes: connection construction, meter (re-) placement, meter removal, meter change and more complicated processes like meter calibration.
