MECOMS® Messaging module contains all functionality related to Electronic Data Interchange. Its innovative architecture guarantees an adaptable yet robust handling and settlement of the electronic communication within your company and other businesses.
It is made of several functional components that together make up for a complete EDI solution. These components include a.o. a directory scanner, a compressor, several convertors and components for receiving and sending messages such as preprocessors and data collection logic.
The MECOMS® Messaging module relies heavily on web-services for process entry and process transactions logging. Thanks to this system tracking workflow is deeply integrated and thus facilitates user-friendly handling a lot of the typical scenarios of electronic data processing used by energy, water and utility companies.
Several EDI message formats, protocols and systems are supported such as mscons, aperak, contrl, utilts, CPS, Value Added Network or even relatively new Trading Grid Messaging System. MECOMS® itself uses however exclusively open standard XML messages. Thanks to this distinction and set-up any kind of preprocessor for any kind of format can be developed and plugged into the MECOMS® Messaging module.
