Validation
The MECOMS® Validation module has been developed to ensure the quality that is being inserted into the database. Data originates from different sources and cannot always be trusted. To increase import management MECOMS® includes extensive mapping features (mapping of code or messages). This is very useful when you subcontract data collection to several different parties that use their own codes or messages. Besides the validation of incoming data, this module also checks the correctness of the calculated consumptions. This is necessary to make sure that the customer receives an accurate bill.
This module is highly configurable thus guaranteeing you maximum usability. You can easily change general parameters (kind of validation, message mapping, etc.) and extensively manage validation rules. MECOMS® has numerous built-in rules for validation on both source and calculated values, but allows you to swiftly add own rules. The same applies to unit convergence: a set of standard unit convergence rules is included (m³ to litres e.g.), although MECOMS® empowers you to easily add your own convergence rules.
The MECOMS® Validation module allows you to easily manage your business rules, tune and enforce the best validation model for your organization. You can create and manage validation groups based on criteria like Device Readability Certificates or zones. These zones can include regions, product types or even people like validation specialists. As such you can add certain validation issues to the right people so that the validation process is sped up and its quality notably improves.
MECOMS® also features a very productive and cost-effective way of validation through graphical validation. Professional controllers can use graphics to quickly check the validity of consumptions and react as needed.
