Sarah is a customer of OmegaPoint, the utility who supplies her gas and electricity. She chose OmegaPoint because this supplier offered her a variety of products to choose from and the ability to manage her account online.

When logging on to the MECOMS™ Customer Portal, Sarah is able to see all her contract details: contract type and duration, products included, and prices, to a name a few.
She is able to extend her contract and choose a different product moving from a variable rate product to a fixed rate product when market prices are low and vice versa.
Meter Data Entry and Consumption Follow-Up
When online, Sarah can directly enter her meter readings when requested by her supplier or grid operator. These meter readings end up in MECOMS™ in real time where they are immediately validated and consumptions are calculated, leading to an accurate invoice.
In addition, she can also enter intermediate meter readings that she can use to track her consumptions on a more detailed level. OmegaPoint provides her with all historical meter readings and consumptions, as well as graphs so Sarah can manage her consumptions better.
Manage Invoices and Payments
If Sarah chooses to do so, paper invoices are no longer sent to her, but she can see and download her invoices online. When linked, she can make payments through her online banking system without the need to ever leave the online portal.
Log and Track Issues
Sarah has the ability to directly communicate with the Customer Service department from OmegaPoint while being online and log and track issues if needed. These issues can be related to invoices or payments, but could as well be a meter reading request to her supplier, or a request for a repair or maintenance.
These issues end up directly in the MECOMS™ CRM module and are immediately routed to the correct department through the built-in workflow system.
